One Day Beginner Kimono Dressing Class

Weekday Basic Kimono Dressing Classes

Group Lessons – Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays

(7 step program.)

During the sessions, you learn the full art of Kimono dressing. From learning the names of each item, and how to wear the Kimono!

$35 per person per class (If you do not have a kimono, rental of Kimono and Obi is available for $30, Additional accessory rental $10 and minimum of 3 classes )

Each class is 1 hour and 15 mins.

DAY 1 – Learn about Kimono, the different types, and accessories and get ready to wear Kimono.

DAY 2 – Learning the art of hadagi, juban and hose (Hadagi is underwear for juban, Juban is also underwear for kimono. Hosei helps keep the body shape for the kimono)

DAY 3 – Review hadagi, juban and hosei and wear the kimono and hanhaba obi (Hanhaba obi is kind of casual belt for casual kimono)

DAY 4 – Review steps 1 and 2 and learn to arrange the hanhaba obi.

DAY 5 – Participate in the kimono, nagoya obi, obi age, and obi jime practice (Nagoya obi is kind of casual belt, Obi age and Obi jime are accessories for kimono)

DAY 6 – Wear the kimono and use han eri, nagoya obi (Haneri is an accessory for the kimono collar)

DAY 7 – Final Class – Use fukuro obi , general review and preparing for the Advanced Classes

Weekend Beginner Yukata Dressing Classes

Group Lessons – Saturdays

(7 step program.)

During the sessions, you learn the full art of Yukata dressing. From learning the names of each item, to how to wear the Yukata, with an array of options for Obi styling!

$25 per person per class (If you do not have a Yakata, rental is provided of Yukata and Obi $20, Additional accessory rental $10 not included and miniumum of 2 classes )

Each class is 1 hour and 15 mins.

DAY 1 – Learn about Yukata and accessories and get ready to wear Yukata.

DAY 2 – Wearing Yukata and basic Obi practice

DAY 3 – Obi arrangement 1

DAY 4 – Obi arrangement 2

DAY 5 – Heko Obi Part 1

DAY 6 – Heko Obi Part 2

DAY 7 – Final Class – Perfect Yukata combination with Obi style techniques and take photo session.
